Malcom Andre Monts was charged with murder in the Saturday, Sept. 16 shooting death of Kareem Rasheen Tyrone Harris at the Summerland Heights Apartments on the 1800 block of Gableridge Turn in Woodbridge, Prince William County police said.
Monts and Harris, 43, who were acquaintances, were apparently arguing on the patio of a ground level apartment when Monts shot Harris, then went back into his own apartment in the building around 7:20 p.m., police said.
Responding officers provided first aid before Harris was taken to an area hospital. He died of his injuries at the hospital, police said. Monts was being held without bond.
